Dancer
Védís graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels in 2012 and holds a MA degree in Applied Culture & Communication Studies from The University of Iceland.
Védís has worked with The Icelandic Dance Company, Bird and Bat, Erna Ómarsdóttir, Halla Ólafsdóttir, Camilla Monga and Katrín Gunnarsdóttir - among others. She has been teaching at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts since 2013. From 2017 she has been a part of the collaborative research project EXPRESSIONS: the power and politics of expectations in dance led by Steinunn Ketilsdóttir.
Védís was nominated as Dancer of the Year two years in a row by the Icelandic Performance Arts Awards; in 2017 for Da Da Dans by Rósa Ómarsdóttir and Inga Huld Hákonardóttir and 2018 for Crescendo by Katrín Gunnarsdóttir.
